COPD Exacerbation Study #1

Main objective:

In this study, an investigational medicine is taken at regular intervals over 12 months in order to determine if it can reduce the frequency of COPD flare-ups (exacerbations).

Who are we looking for?

  • Established diagnosis of COPD
  • Use of long acting inhalers for 3+ months
  • 2+ flare-ups that required steroid treatment/antibiotics
  • No prior history of asthma
  • Age: 40+
  • Additional criteria not listed here

What’s provided for duration of study:

  • Rescue inhaler
  • Investigational medicine
  • Lung testing
  • Close monitoring of lung and general health with physical exams, breathing tests, labs, and ECGs
  • Modest payments for each visit completed
